PRESS RELEASE

Waste’n WaterTech acquires Ambio Biofiltration

Effective Sep 30/22 Waste’n WaterTech (WWT) acquired 100% of the shares in Ambio Biofiltration (ABF) and amalgamated the companies to continue to operate under WWT announced Dave Van Vliet, Founder and Chairman of WWT. This gives WWT exclusive access to the entire Canadian market for both Neutralox Photoionization (PI) and Ambio’s Biofilters odour control technologies. ABF will be rebranded by WWT as Biofiltration – The Ambio Way.

Dominic Janssen, President of WWT states, “Waste’n WaterTech’s relationship with Ambio Biofiltration dates back to 2013 when we first became their exclusive sales representatives for Western Canada. Since then, we have been actively promoting the exciting Neutralox Photoionization Odour Control technology. When the opportunity presented itself to acquire the Ambio Biofiltration business, Waste’n WaterTech was first at the table as we were intimately aware of the value this technology can provide for our industry. We are excited to expand our market to all of Canada and look forward to continuing Calvin Pride’s legacy of service.

Calvin Pride, Founder of ABF, commented on the acquisition, “This business combination continues the legacy I envisioned when I started Ambio nearly thirty years ago. There was unanimous shareholder agreement for the sale and ABF’s key employee, Shan Shanchayan will be a leader in the continuing growth of PI in Canada teamed with the powerful Sales Engineers at WWT.”

Oliver Augustin, Managing Director at Neutralox GmbH in Germany added, “We are pleased that WWT and ABF were able to cohesively work an arrangement that works for all parties involved. The exponential growth of PI in Canada has been due to the missionary work started by ABF over a decade ago and accelerated by WWT’s dynamic Sales Engineering team in Western Canada. The amalgamation blends the technical experience of ABF with the engineering sales expertise of WWT. Shan Shanchayan is a key component of this team going forward.
